Answers about AI label removal, image metadata, local processing, output quality, file limits and our free online image tools.
This tool creates a fresh image from its displayed pixels without copying the original embedded EXIF, XMP, IPTC, text and application metadata. Metadata-based AI tags may be removed by this process. The visible contents of the image remain.
There is no guarantee. A platform may use embedded metadata, pixel-level signals, account history, upload context or your own disclosure. Re-exporting an image cannot control a platform’s decision. Follow the disclosure requirements of the platform you use.
The image tools process selected files in your browser. The toolkit does not send image files to our servers or an AI provider. Normal website requests still reach our hosting and security services.
No. Text, logos and visible watermarks remain in the image. Invisible signals encoded in pixels are outside the scope of this metadata cleaner.
Yes. The tools on this site are available without an account or API key. Processing is limited by the supported file types and the memory available on your device.
The image is re-rendered by your browser. JPG and WebP quality settings can change pixels; color-profile changes can affect appearance. PNG avoids lossy encoding of the re-rendered pixels, but does not preserve every characteristic of the original file. Review the preview and keep your original.
Still JPG, PNG and WebP images, plus MP4, MOV and M4V videos in the homepage cleaner and metadata inspector. WebM, AVI, MKV, GIF, HEIC, AVIF, SVG and RAW are unsupported. Animated PNG/WebP, encrypted videos and compressed QuickTime headers are rejected.
Up to 20 files and 1 GB per batch. Images: 100 MB each, up to 24 megapixels and 12,000 pixels per side. Videos: 500 MB each. ZIP exports are limited to 200 MB per batch. Your browser may reach memory limits sooner, especially on a phone. Try fewer or smaller files.
Different formats and quality settings produce different sizes. A PNG export of a compressed JPG can be much larger. Use JPG or WebP and reduce quality if size is your priority.
The toolkit does not maintain a copy of your metadata. Keep the original image if you may need that information later.
JPG does not support transparency. JPG exports flatten transparent areas onto white. Use PNG or WebP to retain supported transparency.
