Clear supported AI-related and descriptive metadata from MP4, MOV and M4V videos up to 500 MB. No re-encoding, no media uploads and no account.
Some video files carry descriptive fields or recognized provenance records alongside their media streams. This video metadata cleaner clears supported fields locally from MP4, MOV and M4V containers without uploading your file.
Use it for a fresh copy with supported metadata-based AI tags cleared. It does not remove labels drawn onto frames or guarantee a different AI label on a publishing platform.
For a mixed batch, use the homepage image and video cleaner.
Drop a supported MP4, MOV or M4V file above or use the file chooser. Keep your original.
Start cleaning. Your browser removes supported descriptive fields while preserving the encoded audio and video.
Preview the result and save it. Choose “Check video metadata” to inspect the cleaned copy automatically.
Encoded audio and video, timing, dimensions, rotation and necessary playback structure remain. Unknown private data, extra tracks and metadata inside encoded streams can remain. This is scoped metadata cleaning rather than a forensic wipe.
Cleared fields and blocks are replaced with empty space of the same length. This keeps media offsets valid without re-encoding. The output is not a compressed or converted video.
MP4, MOV and M4V are supported containers. WebM, AVI, MKV, audio-only files, encrypted media and compressed QuickTime headers are not supported. Browser preview depends on the video’s codecs. Check the downloaded copy in a compatible player.
The video AI label remover addresses supported metadata-based tags in your local file. Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms control their own labels and may use additional signals or your disclosures. No outcome on those platforms is guaranteed. Visible or invisible watermarks in frames are outside the tool’s scope.

MP4, MOV and M4V containers with embedded video tracks. WebM, AVI, MKV, audio-only files, encrypted files and compressed QuickTime headers are unsupported. Some MOV codecs cannot preview in every browser even when the container can be processed.
The video cleaner does not re-encode the audio or picture. It preserves encoded media bytes and playback structure. Keep the original and check the downloaded result in a compatible player. This is metadata cleaning, not video compression or conversion.
Cleared metadata is replaced with empty space of the same size so existing file offsets and media playback remain intact. File size is not a measure of whether supported descriptive metadata was cleared.
No. Files selected in the tools are processed on your device. The optional metadata-check action temporarily saves the cleaned file in this browser’s local database to pass it to the inspector. That transfer is removed when retrieved and expires after 10 minutes. Normal website visits and contact-form messages are separate from local file processing.
After cleaning, choose “Check video metadata” or “Check AI-label metadata” on its result card. The cleaned file opens automatically in the metadata inspector. “No supported metadata found” describes the scan’s scope; it is not proof that the file was not AI-generated.
Clean supported metadata locally, download a new copy and inspect the result.
